Hi !

I think the main idea is to get to the bottom
before the first bomb but i am not even close!
Perhaps its another way ?
A little hint is welcome

You are right. I solved this hold at work so I don't have access to this room on my home computer... but from memory:


How close can you get? I vaguely remember having to do some clever dancing with my sword just before the bomb went off. I'll try and remember to export my saves from my work computer in the future.

I still haven't exported my saves from my work computer, but I replayed to this room (this is one of my favorite holds).

The only thing I can add, which is a good rule of thumb for puzzles like these, is that you should try and make a kill on every single move. Of course that is an idealized situation, you'll have to miss a few, but try and optimize making a kill on every turn. I used backswipe a lot.

Even on my second play through I had to restart several times, it is a bit tricky. Each time I had to waste three or four turns to position my sword facing east so that I could draw the first corner seep south and then backswipe to kill the seeps coming at me from the east. There are probably more elegant ways to do it, I haven't checked out the top demos yet.

I'm really stuck in this room. I'm trying to shave one move off to get to the third check point, as I keep missing it by one move.

I've attached a demo of my death - which I had to cause so I could record the demo!! I can of course, get to the point without dying... one move too late.

Can anyone offer me any pointers as to where I've gone wrong? Please?

Thank you! I didn't know this.

And thank you for your secret hint. I never thought of moving like this. It gave me chance to kill one extra seep and a half turn towards my next position, so I made it in time to the next checkpoint. Hopefully this way of moving will enable me to finish the room... <fingers crossed!>

What part are you having trouble with?

TripleM's hint is a good place to start. You need to get to the southernmost X quickly so the seep in the SW corner moves on to the broken wall before the bomb explodes.
