Well, if it's one of the two (I'm putting money on sapient, myself), than just say which one it is and say that's the game, and I'll pick a word. If anyone guesses the word, they win - they don't actually have to say 'this is the word'.

We've actually had a couple that have had anagrams, so generally safest way to play it is to guess all the anagrams, and one's going to be right.

If the word isn't 'sapient' or 'panties', then I haven't won, and really should have been more thorough in my anagramming.

Logical elimination (is that spelt right?!) - sonic had four letters right out of five (thanks Tim!), so it was just a case of getting rid of the wrong one and finding the right one. I knew the I and O were right, so it was a choice of S, N or C. I quickly discovered the S was probably right, moved on to N, and soon found that was the wrong letter. Then managed to narrow it down to B or D to be added, which soon narrowed down to D - then it was just a case of discovering the anagram of S, O, I, C and D!

Anyway - let's go again.

I'm thinking of a word with 8 letters.
