I hate to say it but I'm stuck. :~(

There don't seem to be any hints for this room either. Does it matter which direction I enter the room from? Tips please ....

Easy way? But taking on the goblins immediately is easy! (Or at least, compared the goblin level that comes sometime before this level, it's easy.)
So here's a demo where I do things the "fun way".

For KDD challenges, it's worth searching for the room in KDD 2.0 rather than the original KDD, to see if it's already been asked.

Here's the thread for this room, and it contains a demo and move sequence for the challenge.
