How many people were aware that tar of the same size and different shape could have different minimium sizes? (that is, that a tar of X size and Y shape can be carved down to a 2x2 block, while tar of a X size and a Z shape can be carved down to nothing.) (X, Y, and Z are variables. :p)

attached is a file.
Kill as much tar as you can.

...okay, this is extremely incoherent, but I'll fix it later. I wonder if anyone will understand what I'm talking about?

You should do a poll to find out exactly how many people were aware. ;)

I think somebody beat you to the General Law of Carvability, although I forget who it was, and I think he expressed it differently.

Have a look at this thread. Theres some interesting stuff in there. Though I don't think it actually gives a "this tar can be removed if and only if" in every case, if I remember rightly.

I thought one of the rooms on level 12 relied on this law...

They have to get that awareness when attempting L8 KDD. My gosh, I used to want to stop playing DROD when facing that level. :D

at this point in my Smiting career (i guess that makes sense...) I've learned to love tar. I think that in almost every case tar is easier to beat than any other group of monster (unless it's one roach...duh).

Wow now I grow special fondness of tar. I must admit tar is the best creative creature in old DROD.

KDD have many series about tar: L8, L11, L16 respectively. You will get a feel for your sword...
