I still don't see where "there" is. The "this" you refere me to is http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=5857 which is the page we are on now, I believe.
I'm stuck at the northernmost area of 1S, 1W. I'm invisible but must become visible to enter that uppermost area. The queen then runs to the east where she hides in that trapdoor corridor. And I can't get her out.

That's a different hint thread for this same room. That thread is topic #5857, this is topic #5911, as you can see in the address bar. That thread has a bunch of hints for this room as well. If I recall correctly, perhaps there is a place on the left side of that room where you might want to pick up an extra potion in order to make sure that you are invisible at the correct time...

Yes, as you can tell, I have given up, thrown in the white flag. Please help! It's mainly the uppermost chamber in 1S, 1W that has me flummoxed.

Well, this is the sort of room that mostly requires you to be very efficient and not waste moves. The other thread gives you a bunch of hints on how to do that. If those hints aren't good enough, I'm sure plenty of people would be happy to help, but the problem is that there's a *lot* of ways to waste moves, and it's really hard to figure out what you're doing wrong when you just give us vague descriptions like "It's mainly the uppermost chamber in 1S, 1W".

Note that the other thread has someone in a similar situation to you post a demo which made it possible to give very specific advice. I suggest you do the same.

And, it's best if you do it *in the other thread*. That way, when future people get stuck in the room they won't have to look in two places to get help.

Here's where I get stuck: upper chamber, left side. I can get to the queen before she gets to the trapdoors but can't find the right moves to survive! I'm posting a demo.

I am down in the SW corner and have killed everything but the last queen. How do I kill her?
When I try to insert a room image, it tells me that I have notvisited the 7th level.

Looks like just by stepping on the diagonal force arrow with your sword facing SW. The green doors will then drop so you can get back out.

Alternatively, there's a demo posted just above.
