I created the attached demo, in which Beethro blows himself up. I can replay it just fine, although the demo screen reports it as "corrupt or from a different version"...

Also, I can't seem to find any other death demos, after checking a few other rooms that I know I died in and I thought that I kept a demo of it. Is it possible that some of my demos are disappearing? There's a good chance that I just didn't save the demos that I thought I had, too.

I'm guessing you have version 2.000. There was a bug with death demos being saved incorrectly. The demo will play fine -- it just says it's corrupted on the Demos screen. This is fixed in the 2.001 patch. (If you don't have it, there will be a way to get it soon.)
