I hate this room. I tried for a couple days and it is getting me mad. Even once somehow a roach got past the decoy. So can someone please tell me exactly where to put them?

hrm. I was going to tell you where I put my decoys, but the difference between my score and the best is like 1000 moves, because he placed his decoys better - in such as a way as to cause the roaches and mud babies to block further spawns.

these hints are from watching the best demo:

that should be enough hintage, but this is a warning in case you're still losing roaches and not seeing why:

hey, how do you do the hints so they appear in one table with expanding additional boxes, instead of 3 separate tables of one box each?

I hated this room tons, but not nearly so much as I hated levels 16, 18, and 22

Yeah, just nest the secret tags. You can also hit "Quote Reply" for someone that nested them to see what they did to make it work.

Thanx so much. I thought I would be on that room forever and not play for like 2 weeks.(I did that for level 22 of kdd).
I am curious. Who made that room?

I believe that room was made by Adam...but I said that a lot in beta and I was usually wrong. I know that I made both North ones and 1.5 of the ones in the middle row though.

I'll step forward and take credit (blame?) for this one. Mr. Imer also had a hand in it.

If you're talking about 15:1N3E, it's certainly possible. I balked at it when I first saw it too, but as it happens I never even use the decoys when I solve this room. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it were still possible with another half dozen golems in there, although I'm glad they're not.

I just beat 1n 3e and it was extremely hard. They block your path so much. That is the hardest room in the game so far.It took me more than a day. I a so happy and proud of myself.

Indeed, as silver says, watch the other demos. The alcoves near the tunnels are there for a reason...not using them makes the room way harder than it needs to be (in my opinion). I think there were hints to that effect in another thread...

I used them but very little. Not the way Watcher did. If anyone wants to see my demo, just ask.

This actually stops the mud from growing, choked in mud babies, so there's plenty of time.
Really evil room...

How do you get the roaches out of the littel room without any of them going on the arrows? I can get the decoy to kill the queen, but only by leaving roaches on the arrows....

You can only view high score demos once you beat the room.
But someone can post one here.

Here's a demo for you. Put it in a folder that you won't forget where it is (the default for DROD is in Data\\Homemade), and then go to the room you're having trouble with in-game. Press F6, then Import, and find this file to import it. Then you can watch it from that same screen.

This isn't the best demo, but as rowrow says, once you beat the room you can view the best 8 demos anyway.

Edit: okay, drodette deleted her post for some strange reason.

Sorry, I just can't get this room. I followed all the hints, but by the time I place the second decoy mud babies have spawned and get stuck past the arrows. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Someone please help. I have followed all the insructions listed previously and I still have mud babies running to the NE once the mud mother gets too far North (i.e. past the level of the 1st decoy).
I don't understand where 25,9 is or even if this is correct. Somebody please help! My pc is about to be permanentlt damaged.
