I must be missing something obvious here.
I don't see how to kill that snake heading north on the trap doors with a mimic without trapping myself.

any help? please?

As do I. I always wondered what the "trivial solution" was for that level, that didn't require all the mimic potions. Now I know.
OK then, try and do it without the wraithwing, for my intended solution!

I understand that a wraithwing might block the serpent, but the only one that comes near Beethro jumps back and forth despite anything I do, or don't do.

Any further suggestions?

I don't know how to do it with a wraithwing, but I do know another method (which seems to be the intended solution judging by the above posts).
