I'm getting drained of this game. I loved it and want to see the end, but after 24.5 levels I no longer have the patience to even try for a few hours to solve rooms like this one. If you're in the same boat and want to skip past this room, this is the post for you. If you want to retain a shred of dignity and honor and feel like you've actually solved the room yourself, what are you doing reading this hint? I will at least provide spoiler protection for my blatant giveaways.
You have been warned.

×Like others, I was not able to get earlier hints in this thread to work. Perhaps the game mechanics changed since those posts were written. However, I was able to solve the room using only post by Oneiromancer -- thanks, dude! EDIT: This is not to say those earlier hints are now impossible! I only tried making them work a few times then gave up. Now that "I" have "solved" this room, I've seen some of the demos that use the earlier hints. They might still function just fine, it might be that I was making a mistake in which direction I was pointing my sword and when I was letting a guard into the safe spot.
FULL explaination for how to solve the first portion of this room:

×Enter the room with your sword facing NW and don't rotate it until after making the safe haven with pits. Step onto the bottommost trap door. Move 3xNW, 1xN, 3xE, 2xS, 1xW 1xN, then rotate sword counterclockwise. You'll now be in the shape oneiromancer describes and you'll have killed one guard. Stay here killing guards. Wait until there is a guard 2W1S away from you with his sword pointing NE, then rotate your sword to let him in and rotate back killing him. You will not be able to stay in this safe haven indefinitely, as the slayer will get too close and block your escape.
Imprecise description of how to solve the rest of this room:

×After killing about 2/3rds of the guards, you'll have to rotate your sword to scare off the slayer and make your break from the haven. From there, go north over the top of your safe haven and you should be able to kill the rest of the guards easily enough and exit the room safely. I don't have precise moves written down because I was able to do it on my first try.
And if you truly don't have enough information to solve this room yet and want a step-by-step solution:

×Notice that I've posted my solution demo on the side. My solution does not attempt to maximize efficiency, it just got me through the room.
