For those of you very familiar with chess and the "en passant" rule, I have a specific case I'm wondering about:

1. White moves bishop out to the third row in front of the white queen's pawn.
2. Black moves a pawn to a square where it could take the bishop.
3. White moves the queen's pawn two squares forward so that the bishop is behind the pawn.
4. The black pawn takes the bishop.

So we have captured the bishop, but would the white pawn also be captured "en passant"? If so, that would be very strange to remove two pieces from the chessboard from one move. If not, then this is an exception to the "en passant" rule that I haven't found documented anyplace.

This move is illegal. When a pawn moves two squares forward, it may not jump over another piece.

Ah, I thought it might have been that way. Thanks, that solves my problem!
