You're on the right track. All that's left is to kill the aumtlich.
The mirror gets one of them out of the way, so you just need to deal with the other one somehow, right?

×The key is that the pit allows you to get two tiles away from the aumtlich. When you're that close, you can make it turn, then rotate your sword to freeze it. That should give you enough time to get into position.
