So, as I mentioned in a certain other thread, I'm planning to begin streaming a new thing this Saturday (i.e., tomorrow). That new thing is a blind playthrough of Finding the First Truth, which will basically be my first experience with a smitemaster selection that is not included with one of the 5 "
main games"
. As of right now, the things I know about FtFT are that it is a smitemaster's selection and Chaco was responsible for the architecture. I probably knew more than that at some point, such as where in the continuity it belongs, but I forgot that information!

This will be different from the alphabet streams, because instead of just trying out a hold, I am aiming to finish it. I don't know whether I'll do all the secrets (if they exist), but I'll at least give those a try, too. I won't try to power through things and get a ton done at once; I'll try to be a lot more patient and thoughtful, and may be quieter sometimes as a result.
Because of these differing expectations, I'll also ask for something a little different from viewers. Basically, I want to try to solve things on my own, and have chat act in place of going to the H&S board if I'm really, completely stuck. So: If you know what the solution is, then please refrain from giving hints unless I ask for them. If you don't know the solution and I seem lost, suggesting things to try is fine; if you know the solution but think you can "
get away with"
suggesting something to try (especially if it won't work but will help point me in the right direction somehow) then I guess I won't really know the difference? I'm also okay with pointing out why something I'm trying has already failed, for example if some enforcement mechanism I didn't notice has already made the room unsolvable--but please don't tell me "
that won't work"
unless it's something like that, where all I would have to do is look at a region of the room I'm not focusing on to very obviously see it for myself.
I'm thinking that, if this goes well, I might finally force myself to purchase more smitemaster's selections and go through some of those in a similar way. But: One step at a time.
