I looked back through the alphas and can confirm this issue first showed up in 2020-10-29. It is in the latest alpha, and also in RPG.

When placing a snake or gentryii in the editor, they are not being drawn in their semi-transparent "placement" mode. They are visible as normal once you have finished placement.

Oops, I'd missed this is an RPG issue too.

It's the CTransTileEffect being used in `CEditRoomWidget::AddMonsterSegmentEffect()`.

I'm working on it.

Fixed for both games in this PR.

In the latest RPG build this is mostly fixed, but after clicking to initiate placement mode the snake is invisible until you move your mouse by at least one pixel.

Thanks! This issue will be fixed by the same fix made to the other serpent issue you posted.

This issue is fixed in RPG 1.2.8.325 and also TSS 5.1.1.beta .2020-11-12.

Spotted another, related issue when verifying this. When you undo a serpent segment by clicking back at the previous turn, the tiles that used to contain the serpent tail you just removed will still flash until you move the mouse again.
