Hm. I guess there isn't a proper puzzle in this room, despite the presence of (a) the mimic, (b) brains, (b) trapdoors, (c) red doors, (e) mud and (f) black doors.

For one thing, I notice that it is in fact literally impossible to actually drop the red doors, thanks to the trapdoor on (12, 15) - a square with only one exit: thus, that trapdoor can never be dropped since the mimic can never be placed *on* that square, and if it enters that square from elsewhere (e.g. having killed the remaining brains and dropped the remaining trapdoors), there is no way out except to blow up the bombs... which doesn't in fact drop the trapdoor.

And without dropping the red doors, it's impossible to reach the mud so as to drop the black doors.

So... It looks like a puzzle room of some kind, but it's actually an art room with no good reason for the mimic to exist at all. :-)

They put the brains in there so the room would show up red on the minimap, and actually look like an apple.

The potion was added later for people with a compulsion to actually kill them.
