I've been having a lot of trouble connecting to CaravelNet lately. When I load up DROD I get a black screen for a minute or so and then the game loads without actually connecting me. Trying to do anything then opens the "Connecting to CaravelNet" pop-up window that increments every second. This window will keep incrementing for as long as I leave it up (I did over 4 minutes / 240 seconds last night.)

Sometimes my connection does go through if I quit the game and reload it, but other times I can try to reload several times with the same failed result each time.

Is there something wrong with the CaravelNet server? Could this be an issue on my end? CaravelNet Chat still seems to be responsive, and my account is paid into next year, so it's not like I can't access CaravelNet at all. It's just the DROD client itself that seems to be having issues.

I've noticed this issue with both the Steam and GoG clients. I regularly use both. I use Windows 10.

I've hard anecdotes about issues like this when there is some type of internet connectivity issue. Not saying that's the issue here, but it might be.

Can anyone else confirm having this type of issue?

While most of the time I connect smoothly, on occasion (I'd say about once a day) I get this same problem.
