It's not quite as ridiculous as it looks. Most of the actual work is in one area of the room; the rest is pretty straightforward once you understand what's going on.
So here's the overview:

×You need to stand on the fire trap and stay there for quite a while. Because of the aumtlichs and the bombs, you can't move off it or turn your sword.
This means that the fire trap can never be on at the end of a turn, and you can't allow any roaches to reach you.

×The roaches are relatively easy to deal with. It's the fire trap that's the main issue.
That fire trap is controlled by the pressure plates in the rattlesnake areas, so to prevent it from killing you, you need to set things up so that both plates are activated at the same time.
This is simple to set up on the left side. Just shorten all the rattlesnakes to two tiles, in order to minimize the number of turns they spend on the plate.
The right side rattlesnake is trickier. That's the hard part of the room. Think about what you would have to do in order to make the snake activate the pressure plate on all of the same turns that the left plate is activated.
