×Gel Mothers only expand the gel they are in.

×If you are standing in the right spot, you can let the gel expand to the border, carve out some stuff in the middle, let the mothers expand once more, then kill them off to finish the painting

×The right spot to stand is on the door facing outwards (not next to an eye)

×Once the gel reaches the border, you want to carve so that you are just left with L shaped blobs in the corners, two isolated mother eyes, and a baby or two between them. If it's right it'll be simple after the next growth.
