Jmit' 2 : First Level : 1 North, 2 East (+1)

I'm stuck in this room for a while. I just can't seem to manipulate the roaches to a manageable position. I'm always at least 2 moves off.
Any hints?
Where should I be facing when I hit the orb?

I believe it is necessary to hit the orb while facing
