I'm stuck on this one - cleared all the rest of the level. I know someone else asked about this but was able to figure it out without help (bows down in admiration at them). I made it to the center orb without too much trouble. Now what do I do ?

Well...I'd suggest a strong dose of prayer. Really though, try to get back out a bit, and then get queens to move. I normally go bottom right counterclockwise. Many roaches will come at you, but they can be killed in the open areas without too much hassle. If you can, use the safe zones by each corner. Good luck.

I'm very tired, so my advice may sound a bit incoherent. Sorry about that:

Try using stepping techniques to combat roaches instead of swinging, since this lets you move forward and smite at the same time. If a horde approaches from one direction, face it directly in a horizontal or vertical direction. When it reaches you, try to kill the roaches by stepping (remember that you move first) and at every opportunity, move in the direction you want to go while killing. Diagonal stepping is also advisable to retreat from the horde if it gets more than 3 squares wide although you must move towards the corner at the same time if possible.

Apart from that, it's basically a matter of practising the technique of manipulation of large brained hordes. If you are really stuck, try making simple rooms in the editor with groups of brained roaches and practise getting rid of them efficiently while moving towards a target.

Oh, and a peculiarity of brained monsters is the fact that monsters next to you to 45 degrees of the direction you face (if horizontal or vertical) will not move diagonally to attack your side if you move. Instead, they will copy your moves and stay 45 degrees from the direction you face.
