Your assessment of the situation is correct: you need to get the first time clone to (17,12). If the first time clone drops the trapdoor at (13,14) it will lead to someone being stuck. But if the first time clone can't drop the trapdoor at (13,14), how will he ever make it to (17,12)?

×The staff can be used effectively here. Recall that a time clone will always attempt to execute whatever moves you programmed into it when recording. If you push the time clone to a different location, it will still try to make those same movements. Try to pre-record the correct movements for the time clone, but starting further to the west so that you don't need to actually worry about the red doors or any other obstacles. You can then use Beethro to push him into the correct position.
