I was looking at the online map of the Company level in Complex Complex, and noticed that 1W has two NPCs in it. I know one of them is to do the voice you hear when you read the scroll, but I can't fathom why the other exists. I've experimented with various ways to fail the room, but I can't get a speech to trigger or anything else of interest to happen. Does anyone have any idea what that second NPC is for?

Beethro has some speech if you read the scroll when you enter and then go on to solve the room.

That's it. For reference, it triggers if you step on the scroll, and then drop two trapdoors.
