You need to let the mimics drop the trapdoors so you should head straight for the chamber with the mimic potions first.
You can place mimics on hot tiles as long as they move the next turn. It is okay for a mimic to die on a hot tile as long as all the trap doors in its chamber are dropped.
This room requires some tricky mimic manipulation, but it helps a lot to do certain Chambers first so that you have more room to maneuver for the more difficult chambers. You don't need to have a mimic in every chamber at once and it's probably best to try to do them one at a time unless you are trying to optimize.
For example, the upper left chamber is pretty narrow so you don't need much maneuverability in order to drop all the trapdoors. The same goes with the middle horizontal chamber between the green doors. Those should be done first. It also helps to pick up mimic potions in a way that allows you more directions to move freely.
Here is the order in which I did the chambers along with the mimic potions I used the first time I did this room.

For chamber 3, it helps to take out the middle trapdoor in that chamber as soon as possible that way you have a narrow ring to follow around the edge. Chambers 4 and 5 are tricky and it helps a lot if you have completed the first 3 chambers before starting 4 and have completed 4 before starting 5.
I'm also attaching a demo in case you need it.
