We got 5 sequels here. Please rate them mostly according to your usual "hold quality" standards, and very slightly according to "how good of a sequel" you think it is to the original, if you are familiar with the original (or 10 for balance if you made the entry in question).

!UPDATE!
I just realized that I forgot to make it possible to "receive credit" for beating Cheese Land, since its only exit is scripting-based. Now it will send the player to the conquer token in the hub if the Cheese Land level is clear. (Lunie Depths, being an -optional bonus-, is not required to clear the hub room)

Note: If you enter "Second Cousin Sergey's Hold" and exit, then try to re-enter that level, the cut scene bugs out and you end up exiting the hold so you can't get back to it. It would be nice if this were fixed, but until then fair warning to folks playing.

All these pesky scripted exits...
I have fixed that now, too. If you wait one turn in the prologue entrance it will send you back into the entry proper.

Not a big problem since it doesn't affect playability of any of the entries, but the Hub has a required room behind a blue door.

On a related note there are still some backtracking issues in Piteous, although they appear to be intentional...

At least one person wanted to see demo(s) for some of the rooms, so here's a full set.

Alright, managed to get some votes in. As usual I have written commentary for each of the five entries and I'll post that when the poll is done.

Thankfully this contest was relatively easy to get through, with the minor exception of a few rooms which were a bit aggravating. Even those rooms were relatively short, though, and easy to get through with reference demo help if so desired (unlike horde or finicky chaotic rooms where a demo helps a lot less).

Overall I was decently satisfied with the field but there weren't any that really bowled me over enough to get full marks. I think that just means that there's still room for improvement and even more amazing sequels.

I didn't write up any comments this time around, but I did record videos of everything. Since I'm really lazy when it comes to video editing, I basically still have to do all of it, so I'll probably only be uploading a single video a day. There will be 20 videos in total.

The first 5 videos aren't of the contest, but are instead of me playing half an hour of each of the original holds that the contest entries were based off of.

Congrats to the winner. I really had a good time with Cheese Land, and don't begrudge it the win here. Honestly, I'm surprised that my entry (Piteous) did as well as it did considering what I did with the second level of it.

In first place is Voyage to Cheese Land, by disoriented!

In second place is Piteous, by mauvebutterfly!

And in third place is Second Cousin Sergey's Hold, by Nuntar!
