What am I expected to do here? right now, I'm able to enter the room with sword point E or W (or N, or S), but not diagonally.

Which means that I can clear some of the tar blob above one of the dancers, which doesn't seem to "free" it.

so.... what the goal? is there a logic I should understand with dancers?

You'll be able to come back here with sword pointed diagonally later on.
