Has anyone had the idea of including a 'Paint mode'-type-thing? Quite often in one of the more puzzle-levels of DROD I find myself taking a screenshot and pasting it into paint so that I can draw on it - trapdoor mazes, mimic problems, all sorts. Since the mouse isn't actually used much during the playing of a game, it could be quite easy to have a certain button turn on the mouse being a temporary paintbrush - you could then flick back and forth between the actual screen and the one with some scribbles of your own on it. Just an idea. Its not hard doing it in paint anyway.

Sounds good. Reminds me of a game where you had to solve puzzles, and you could draw on the screen while attempting to solve them.

Kind of like when you're watching football and the commentator is trying to show you what went wrong/right on the last play...

I love this idea except that I don't want to have to flip back and forth between two screens to use the marks. I should be able to make the marks while I'm playing the room and take advantage of them all during gameplay. Frequently I use the cursor to remind myself which square to turn around on etc. If I could put a dot on that square that stayed there while I played, that would make my life a lot easier.

Yeah, you're right - you should be able to play while stuff is still scribbled on the screen. Though it should probably be allowed both ways - that way, you could see the whole level as it was (say, all your drawings has covered something and you can't remember what it was) without actually having to delete what you have drawn.
