So i FINALLY got done with the ore refinery only to be met by the fact that i have no access to the older holding vats? . My game is up to date so i'm not sure why this is happening. I first noticed it before i started ore refinery where every time i clicked on the Glorthorred section of the map, i got an error beep from my computer. Not only is older holding vats just gone, but the icons for easy way is sometimes the icon for older holding vats, and the icon for the forbidden underpass is sometimes the easy way or the forbidden underpass???

This is a bug caused by updating from the oldest version of the game. Fortunately, there's a fix, and it only has to be done once; any future updates won't cause the issue again.

This thread has details on what to do.

I would like to try this, but i have never downgraded my version before. How do you do that?
