×a monster being guided by a brain doesn't see most other monsters as obstacles. This includes brains. If their desired move is blocked by a monster, they will tend to move north if they see that as the best alternate option for getting closer to you.
So how do you make use of this?

×Get the roach near the brains, then start heading directly east. Once you get it moving near the brains, this will keep it moving north so you can get to the eye.
