I used AE to make a copy of the version of KDD that you get editing rights to for finishing AE and imported that into GatEB for Steam and then made a copy of that within the steam version and...

Just look at the room coordinates in the attached image. A room like this appears on every level, and the game crashes if I try to delete one.

This sounds like an old bug that should be fixed already. You'll have to reinstall the corrupted files that are causing this though.

Try following the instructions here to export and reimport your progress.

That didn't work. It manifests the same room placement bug and the corrupted files just reappear in the folder.

Just got a theory, it might have something to do with the 'Neather. The level editor shows him with purple hair and when I tested the room he just stood there and screamed whenever I tried to stab him. I think the engine not recognizing him is somehow messing with the data.
