I have managed to kill three of the blue snakes before I am killed. Can anyone help with strategies?

Keep in mind that there are two ways to kill a 2-length rattlesnake: strike its tail, or strike its head so that it moves and the tail comes under your sword.

So , distance of groups of rattlesnakes to Beethro is not symmetrical

Also if the square snake wants to go is blocked, it tries to move N, if blocked tries E, then S, then W.
So

×South group are closer, start by killing 1 rattlesnake coming from the south

× go south inmediately after first kill, you have better chance of survival
