×Get past the roach, clear the pressure plate, use roach to keep the PP held down while I go North (by switching to the other Beethro)
However, I'm having trouble executing that in the 10 move cycle of the floor spikes. Currently Click here to view the secret text
×I'm keeping the roach in column 37 until I make my break for the conquer token
Any help is appreciated.
The Conquer token is 5 spaces into the spike traps, so you have
exactly just enough turns to get Beethro up there and then back to safety. In other words, no time to swap to the clone while Beethro is going for the token.
The clone can be somewhat useful for keeping the roach distracted, but when you're going for the C-token it needs to be all Beethro. So how to accomplish that?

×The pressure plate is exactly 2 tiles long. Not coincidentally, you need the plate to be held down exactly two turns to get past the arrow.

×Getting the roach out of the way (though column 37 may be too far to the east to get this to work well) is a big part of the solution. What you really want is to have the roach well to the south of the pressure plate, held in place by maybe one block of briar. Carve a path through the briar such that moving the roach to the east or west past that blocking bit of briar will leave the roach with a straight cleared path to the pressure plate. So stepping far enough to the east will get the roach free and on its way. If you time things properly, the roach will get to the plate at exactly the same time as Beethro gets to the C-token. This is possibly easier to show with a screen shot, so let me know if you'd like me to post one.
