So it turns out Nikoli's Suraromu can be done in DROD quite easily without scripting, and probably to a non-trivial size. Maybe I'll do something with this if I ever learn how to make that sort of puzzle well or adapt other stuff that RuPaul missed, but for now have a proof of principle. Take the mechanism for your own work if you like.

EDIT: also Aisuban, using a lemming but no other scripting. Somewhat more fiddly.

In the Aisuban room, you can turn on the grey areas by turning your sword to lead the lemming back into the center. I guess that's unintended?

The Suraromu room was pretty fun and seemed to work flawlessly, neat mechanism!

The Aisuban room is weird. I can stall the lemming completely if I face diagonally, and if I face orthogonally, then the mimic's possible direction is locked even after I've stepped off the plates.
