So I'm lost here. No idea how to clear it, let alone get the challenge. (Or what the difference is; does it mean I have to keep something on the plate even after the roach dies, until the room is cleared?)

If I let out the lemmings, no matter when I time it, the snake gets stuck but the bent-tail lemmings never get out. If I try to kill a lemming, the snake's too short by the time I get there and the plate gets released.

So what am I missing?

Well, I figured out part of it.



EDIT: Solved the room, stumped on how to do the challenge though.



Edit: Somehow I got the challenge through flailing around. Actual advice would still be useful for anyone else who wants to try it, though.

There's not a specific trick for keeping bent-tail lemmings on the pp, infact there are several strategies, here's what I did:
