Hi! I own this full series on GOG and have been playing through GatEB over the past two weeks. I'm interested in purchasing a caravelnet subscription, but wanted to first make sure that I would be able to use all the features despite owning the games on GOG rather than caravel Games.

I had previously assumed that this would be impossible, but I noticed a dev in another topic said that a caravelnet membership would work with the steam edition of Gunthro, so I'm making this topic to ask if it would work with the GOG editions of the games as well.

Yes. All of the Caravel Net (CNet) functionality (getting published holds in game, high scores, and the exclusive CNet chat) are all available in the GOG version. What you are paying for is a key that will let you access CNet from any version of DROD, purchased from anywhere as well as the access from the forums.

Every edition of DROD is compatible with CNet membership. You just need to set up it properly inside Settings, tick the "Connect to CaravelNet", put in your CNet name (forum username) and CNet key (generated in Profile menu in the forum page), then let magic take over the rest.
