Hey, I'm back!

So, I'm trying to get all the holds downloaded into the new version of GatEB, and have run into an issue. While every single non-official hold downloaded quite happily, I have been unable to get any of the official holds to actually install when I download them.

When I click on one of the purple-text hold names in the list, then click Download, I get the standard Downloading Hold bar filling, then Calculating Space Needed, then it hits the Importing Data bar, stalls out right at the beginning of it for a few seconds, then goes back to giving me control of the program, with the hold still remaining obstinately within the 'not downloaded' section of the list.


Possibly related but not necessarily the same issue, whatever it is that Steam does right after you close a game to back up your saves or whatever it's doing is hanging at 0% indefinitely, so that I have to force-quit Steam if I want to reopen GatEB after closing it.

The official holds are going to be released as DLC. Until that's set up, they can't be downloaded from the Steam version.

That's Steam cloud, it always syncs with cloud again each time the game is closed (specifically, the 5 .dat files).

For DROD this doesn't work at all because experienced delver can easily have the 5 .dat files at a few hundred MBs, which means every time the game is closed it'll upload the whole file to the cloud again. So, turn it off. Right click on the game, choose Properties > Updates, and disable Steam cloud sync.
