Hello.

I downloaded on the new pc the full version of TT, version 1.2.7.316 for Windows.
Then I went to my old pc and exported the player file, I think the version on my old pc is 1.2.6.295 with a certain patch (if you need the precise version I'll let you know as soon as possible).
At last I installed the new version and tried to import the player file but it crashed, I attached a picture with the error.

Thanks for the crash report. Would you please provide me a link to your .player file and .dat files?

Sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by providing the link for my player file and dat file? How should I do it?
When I exported the player the game only created the file "Red-XIII.drp"

That's the player file. The .dat files are the ones inside your DROD RPG install directory, in the folder "DROD RPG\Data". I'm not confident but I think the relevant .dat files would be "save.dat", "player.dat"?

And, "provide the link" in the sense of upload those files to the internet somewhere and give them a link so they can download the files to look at them.

The only .dat file is "drodrpg1_0.dat" which is 110.314 Kbyte and there is no .player file.

If I have to upload that file please tell me a good upload site, since not everyone allow to upload a file with such a big size.

I'd like to have your six *.dat files. They typically work in sync and I'll need all of them to reproduce the bug. I don't need the "drodrpg1_0.dat" file. Check in "C:\Program Data\Caravel\..." (on Windows) to find where your six player .dat files are.

Do you have, say, a Dropbox account, from which you could share these files with me?

I'm even more puzzled right now, when I installed the game Windows created a single folder in "C:\programs\" named Drod RPG-Tendry's Tale, and in this folder there is only "unis000.dat" and "drodrpg1_0.dat" with .dat extension.
Also, just to clarify, are you referring to the folder of my old pc (with old DROD RPG version) or the folder created with the new DROD RPG version?

I don't have a dropbox account but if these files are not big I can easily send them by mail to you.

I think I want the .dat files in your new install, plus your exported player .drp file.

To clarify, the .dat files are not created in the directory where you installed them. The game puts them in the "Program Data" directory I mentioned earlier. Windows Explorer doesn't always display that directory when viewing the C: folder. Sometimes you have to type in the directory name yourself and then it will appear.

Sure, e-mail them to me at mrimer at caravelgames dot com.

Ah, now I understand! Thanks for the explanation.

Ok, I just sent you the mail with those files.

PS: The version on my old pc is 1.2.0.57

Thanks! Ah, 1.2.0.57 is a rather old version. It might help if you install the 1.2.7 patch on your old pc first, then try to export your player profile again and install this new export .drp file onto your new pc.
