OK, it's kind of frustrating that the Red Chronovore can walk over pits and is attracted to decoys. How can you keep it interested in Beethro when he's on the tunnels?

Yep, this was pointed out in beta testing but the tunnels were left in for convenience.

Do the tunnels even make this easier? I didn't see anything obvious offhand while not using them was pretty straightforward.
