Ran into a situation where two Stalwart swords cross, and this is causing z-fighting. That is, the sword that is drawn on top is random every frame, causing flickering.

Possibly related - sometimes the Guard sprites flicker as clouds pass by (e.g. Smuggler's Maze 5N2W)
