Download the attached file from
here (Cheat!.zip) and extract it to the "
Bitmaps"
folder in DROD's data directory. On Windows, I believe the default location is "
C:\ProgramData\Caravel\drod-5_0\."
I'm not sure about other operating systems.
This will create two files in the "
Bitmaps"
folder: "
Cheat!.png"
and "
Cheat!.tim."
"
Cheat!.png"
contains the graphical mod and "
Cheat!.tim"
tells the engine which specific tiles to replace.
Next, go up one level to the main data directory and locate "
drod.ini."
You can open this file with any text editor (e.g. notepad on Windows). Under the "
[Graphics]"
heading, you will see, among other things, a line in the format StyleName=StyleName for each room style you have installed. Simply append "
;Cheat!"
to the end of each of these lines. (For example, "
Aboveground=Aboveground"
will become "
Aboveground=Aboveground;Cheat!"
) Save and close drod.ini.
Now when you start DROD, all broken and secret walls should be replaced with more visible tiles.
The only way to make spiders permanently visible is to enable Puzzle Mode. You can do this at any time by pressing F3.
