Attached hold is the problematic cutscene, stripped out from EP.

In 5.0, 5.1.6060 or 5.1.6345, Beethro successfully maintains his position after the cutscene, but in 5.1.6462 or above he warps back to the original point, thus allowing him to escape from the arrows and step on the conquer token.

Edit: It seems to be due to a bugfix between build 6345 and 6462 which prevents a player to be positioned on top of a monster. It's not a bug.

This is a problem with the scripting - the script used the bug that you could teleport player on top of a monster pre-5.1. The fix is to first disappear the character and then teleport the player.

What I fixed though was made it so that if you teleport an invisible player (or teleport player to the position they're already occupying) then the graphical effect of sliding from the source to the target tile will be skipped.

Confirmed that there is no slide effect when teleporting while invisible or when teleporting to the current location in 5.1.0.6478.
