I'm not sure how much of an overlap there is between DROD and speedrunning, but I know it's at least non-empty.

Twice a year, the speedrunning community puts on Games Done Quick, where they play games fast to raise money for various charities. Currently, they're supporting the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

And yes, currently, as in they're running right now.
