×Yes, it's possible. From the screenshot, go NW and then N twice to get the mimic north of the gel baby. Now go back south and you can adjust the mimic's horizontal position. This won't quite get you enough horizontal distance, but you can get the mimic west of the gel baby and adjust horizontal position again.
