× Everything you said it's correct, until the last thing. Even if the gel is in a square shape, there's still something you can do, which is waiting next to the gel until it spawns, so a corner is created and you can go through.

× You'll need the gel to press the western plate, then you have to cut it as much as possible to kill the southern EE and to have space in the upper zone to do the final part of the room. Here's an image showing my solution 1 move before I kill the gel mother.
