As many people probably know, the monsters in DROD: RPG are based off of models from TotS. So a question about two monsters: Serpents and .

What are they based off of? I didn't see any monsters in TotS that had those exact stat numbers during combat.

I know that Rattesnakes are based off the Octopus, and Adders are based off the Dragon, but I'm not entirely certain what Serpents were based off of.

I think the Serpent's stats are based on no TotS monster. Probably because the game didn't have a 3rd boss monster along the lines of the Octopus and Dragon. But I couldn't say because I have never played TotS myself...

That's right, there is no monster in TotS with the Serpent's stats. The Archivist's stats are just a different combination of Zeno's. (Zeno initially has 8000/5000/1000; after debuffing he has 800/500/100, as the Rock Giant. The Archivist has 1000/800/500.)

Two other DROD RPG monsters have unique stats not taken from TotS:


And TotS has one other monster whose stats were not used in DROD RPG. (Yeah, it would have been fitting if they'd given these stats to the Serpent....)
