Not so much a question about the room as a question about how to get to the room.

So, I've just gotten through the Gate of Namedness, and seem to have managed to miss some important text or something, because I have absolutely no idea what to do. I've gone up to the Patronage and met the odd person there, and I've been to the DAA office and seen Halph, and now everything I can see suggests I should go to the Archival Catacombs, but when I go to the Archives, all that happens is the guy at the desk says "Welcome to the Archives, citizen." and that's it. I can't hit the orb to get in. What am I supposed to do here?

Have you been to Slaymasters' Hall, in The City:5N3W? There's a cut-scene there that you need to see to explain why you're trying to bully your way into the Archives.

Ah! I didn't go to that room because I saw it on the map as all green, and was thinking "green = cleared". Thank you for that!
