Mutli-User Whisper does not send if one member is absent (0)

On webchat, I was part of a multi-user whisper the other day and after one person left, I was unable to send messages (so one other person was present in the whisper but another person who was included wasn't present). The chat box turned grey, but the message didn't clear and never appeared in the chat.

I'm using chrome, if it helps.
