Have you ever listened to a song, taken a look at the lyrics and discovered that what you heard was completely different?
Post funny mishearings in this thread.

Guidelines:
1. They don't have to be your mishearings.
2. Please write the real text, song and artist afterwards.
3. If you want to, post the real text in secret tags. It makes for fun guessing games.

For a song by 38 Special, when I was a kid I thought it was:

The song title and that line is actually

And then there's the other Bruce song by ELO...

And I seriously don't know if they are saying "Bruce" or not.

I read somewhere that the word in the song is "groose",
which is a nonsense word in the spirit of "rama lama dingdong" and "shoobydoobydoo".

I just learned that the Styx song "Come Sail Away" has the lyric: Set an open course for the virgin sea.
I thought it was either "Set an open course for the birds and sea" or "Set an open course full of urgency".

Not quite a song, but recently my friend started playing TF2, and the demoman on there has a taunt where I think he goes 'KA-BOOM', but he seems to hear it as 'Ha-ppy' Not sure which one is right, though.

It's hard to tell what's most notable here: the fact that mondegreens don't count if you make them up, the fact that they're not particularly good ("Billie Jean is not my lover" sounds nothing like "Billie Jean is full of flubber"), or the fact that Samuel did in fact mishear the EMF lyric.

Speaking of getting the lyrics wrong to a Michael jackson song. I can name three different things in that post that were wrong.
