First off, you'll need roaches on all three arrow traps before you enter. But as to the queen going down the corridor, you don't so much want to prevent her from spawning as to control where that happens. Also, it sounds like you're sending her down the corridor too soon.

×I waited outside, north of the queen, which was at 24,17 until the 'right time'. Then made a move east to send the queen on her way, and then entered.
