How many mirrors can you smash before activating the pressure plate, and still beat the room?

This challenge is written on a scroll in the room located behind the green door beyond the challenge scroll and is not a challenge awarded by the game. This thread is here to show off your attempts.

So... just how well can you do?

I'm not going to post my best yet, but I'll say that I'm pretty convinced that it isn't possible to do better than what I got. It's almost possible, but I've spent a fair bit of time trying.

I forgot about this until now, so here's a demo for 13.

I remember fiddling for quite a while to try and do it for 14, but the mud baby spawning wasn't quite what I wanted or something. It was surprisingly close to being doable though.
