For those who remember "The Incredible Machine" and liked it:
Steam is currently selling a spiritual sequel "Contraption Maker" at $1.50, and it is supposedly made by some of the same people. You even get an extra copy for a friend.

I have only tried some of the first tutorial puzzles, but so far it seems very promising

It plays nearly identically to TIM2 and TIM3, with the added benefit of what seems to be an active Steam Workshop. I would've preferred it to play more like the original TIM, I suppose, but it's quite solid nonetheless. The extra copy was a nice surprise after I picked it up.

I played an iOS version of something similar, but since deleted it from my phone. I believe it was called Crazy Machines.
