1.To kill the snake, use the mirror.
2.To use the mirror correctly (/at all), you need more room.
3.To get more room, an arrow must be turned off.
4. There is only one arrow that can be turned off.
5. The arrow is connected to a PP with walls on 6 sides, and room clear gates to the N&S.
6. There are briar roots also to the N&S, and surrounded by walls.
7. Hit the plate, lead the snake out, set the mirror, leave, guide snake back in, trap&kill snake. Next Room.

The pp can never be hit until the room is beat, but it needs to be hit in order for the room to be beaten. What Gives??

1. I can make two plausible moves of the mirror: for the
first I can enter from the middle of any side and push
the mirror to a corner. The snake then makes a choice,
and I find that only east and west sides let me survive.

2. Then, I can rotate my sword twice in the loop, and
push the mirror to the middle of a side, creating a death trap.

3. Whatever I try, the snake always chooses the route
that kills me, instead of putting its head in a trap.

×So it's just a case of making your first move at the right point on the clock. Given it takes 8 moves for the snake to move around in a circle, and snake patterns repeat every 10 moves, there are 5 distinct options for you to do so, so you can try each one and see what happens. Or:

I see from watching the demos that I was wrong above: you can enter and survive from any direction - it's all about the snake horizontal vertical preferences.
